Patients with Dutch health insurance
Yes, anyone can register at Jans Huisartsen. Just fill in our online registration form and we will take care of the rest. If you’d like to register family members, please do so via the same registration form.
Basic insurance covers a large part of general practice healthcare. This includes telephone calls, visits and consultations by, for example, a general practitioner, doctor’s assistant, nurse, physician assistants and/or nurse specialist. For some additional healthcare, for example additional examinations, referrals and medication, a deductible applies.
To schedule an appointment online you need access to our patient portal. When registering with Jans Huisartsen you will automatically receive access to this portal.
An email address and a Dutch telephone number are sufficient.
We are open every Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. For emergencies in the evening, night and weekend please call to: Huisartsenpost Sint Franciscus Gasthuis: tel 010-4669573.
We currently have two practices: one is located in Rotterdam Kralingen, at Struisenburgstraat 46, the other in the Rotterdam city center, at Vasteland 22.
Yes, if you live within 15 minutes from one of our practices you can register there.
When it comes to medical care, it’s important you receive the help you need as soon as possible. Also, GP’s often charge extra costs to patients who are not registered at their practice. And should you need medical care outside opening hours, an emergency GP post can refuse to see you if you are not registered with a GP in the same municipality.
